Your adventure continues in Akagera National Park, a stunning landscape of lakes, savannah, and rolling highlands. Enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema to spot hippos and crocodiles, followed by a night game drive in search of elusive nocturnal species. A full-day safari offers opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, lions, and over 500 bird species. This tour perfectly blends primate encounters, rich culture, breathtaking scenery, and classic African safari experiences.
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a guided city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial and the local arts and crafts center.

After breakfast, drive to Nyungwe Forest with stops at the King’s Palace, Botanical Gardens, and the National Museum in Butare. After lunch, continue through scenic tea plantations and traditional villages. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.
Rise early for an exciting chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe Forest, with chances to spot primates and rich birdlife. Return for lunch, then enjoy the famous canopy walk for stunning views above the rainforest. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel
After breakfast, depart Nyungwe and journey north to Ruhengeri (Musanze). This scenic drive of approximately six hours winds through Rwanda’s iconic terraced hillsides before ascending to the foothills of the magnificent Virunga Volcanoes, where, on clear days, up to five volcanic peaks can be seen. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.
Early in the morning, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trek on the forested slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes. The trek can take 1–7 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, spend a magical hour with the gorilla family before descending, packed lunch for today. Return to the lodge.
After breakfast, drive to Akagera National Park, a diverse reserve of forests, lakes, and wetlands. After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema to see hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Safari Lodge.
Spend the day exploring Akagera National Park with morning and night game drives. Spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and over 500 bird species, with rare sightings of lions, leopards, or rhinos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Akagera Safari Lodge.
After breakfast, transfer back to Kigali for your onward flight, concluding your unforgettable Rwandan adventure.
The Minimum age of gorilla trekking is 15 and Chimpanzee trekking is 12.
