Day 1:
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve You'll depart Nairobi in the morning for Masai Mara National Reserve, a scenic drive that sets the tone for your safari adventure. You will arrive at your lodge in time for a sumptuous lunch overlooking the vast plains of Masai Mara. In the afternoon, you will embark on your first game drive in search of the Big Five and other iconic wildlife species.
Day 2:
Masai Mara National Reserve You'll enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge before setting out on another thrilling game drive. The morning offers excellent opportunities to witness predators on the hunt or perhaps catch sight of a crossing during the great migration season (if applicable). Another game drive in the late afternoon completes your day, followed by a delightful dinner under the starlit sky.
Day 3:
More Exploration in Masai Mara National Reserve If you wish, you can go for an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise (at additional cost), offering a breathtaking aerial view of Masai Mara's landscape and wildlife. After touching down, you will indulge in a bush breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive across the reserve—picnic amidst the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa.
Day 4:
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll arrive at your lodge overlooking the picturesque Lake Nakuru in time for a delicious lunch. You'll spend the afternoon exploring the park, renowned for its flamingos that flock to the shores and its population endangered rhinos and leopard.
Day 5:
Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha You will start your day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, seeking out the park's resident wildlife before returning to the lodge. You'll depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for a relaxing lunch at your lakeside lodge. In the afternoon, you'll be immersed in the tranquility of Lake Naivasha with optional activities such as boat rides or a guided walking safari to explore the nearby Crescent Island.
Day 6:
Lake Naivasha to Ol Pejeta Conservancy After breakfast, the journey towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, renowned for its efforts in wildlife conservation. You'll check into your lodge and savor a hearty lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, offering unique opportunities to encounter these endangered species up close.
Day 7:
Ol Pejeta Conservancy Exploration You'll awaken to the calls of African birds and enjoy an early morning game drive or guided bush walk, led by knowledgeable guides who reveal the intricacies of Ol Pejeta's ecosystem. You will return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, followed by optional activities such as a visit to the rhino sanctuary or chimpanzee’s sanctuary.
Day 8:
Ol Pejeta to Nairobi and Departure On your last morning in Ol Pejeta, you will wake up early for a final game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting any wildlife species you may have missed. You will return to the lodge/camp for breakfast, enjoying your last moments in the tranquil surroundings of the conservancy. After breakfast, you will check out and begin the journey back to Nairobi.
