Majestic Samburu Wildlife Safari
This three-day Kenyan safari explores the Samburu national reserve and Buffalo Springs national reserve, situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephants, lions, giraffes and zebras from the surrounding savannah plains. All three big cats, lions, leopards, and cheetahs are also regularly spotted. The area is home to the Samburu people, pastoral relatives of the Maasai.
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you’ll meet your safari driver who will give you a short safari briefing. Then it’s time to check out and head to Buffallo Springs National Reserve in Samburu. You’ll reach the reserve just in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you’ll go on an exciting game drive where you’ll see zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, Somali ostriches, and more. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at your lodge before spending the night there.
Spend this whole day exploring Buffalo Springs National Reserve with early morning game drive where the light is perfect for good photographic scenery coupled with the concentration of wildlife on the ground. Enjoy mid morning game drives and afternoon game drives where you will have the opportunity to spot all the three cats including lions, leopards and cheetahs. We will have an option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire whole day in the park.
We embark on early morning game drive on sunrise when predators are active and later return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast depart Samburu National Reserve with the last picturesque of the reserve arriving Nairobi in the afternoon. You will be dropped at either your hotel or airport to connect your home bound flight depending on the arrangements where the safari ends.
