Cape Town Safari Experience
Guests will embark on an exciting tour through the outer-lying areas of Cape Town, discovering the beauty and diversity of the region. The journey includes an unforgettable visit to a luxury private game reserve, where they can experience close encounters with Africa’s iconic wildlife, followed by a relaxing stop at a renowned wine estate to sample some of South Africa’s finest wines before returning to the city.
From the Cape Town City Centre, we have an early morning departure to the Safari Reserve. Along the way we'll travel through rural country areas as well as many farm and agricultural lands.
We drive through the longest road tunnel in Africa as well as in the Southern Hemisphere to emerge in a completely different world.
The beauty of these mountains really comes alive during our colder months when we experience snow on the higher reaches.
Acclaimed for service excellence, renewable energy, social responsibility efforts and wildlife conservation, Aquila is more than just an unforgettable Western Cape game reserve experience, it’s an experience in luxurious African hospitality, traditional culinary delights, and the restoration of pride to the indigenous people and the land.
As we descend and lose altitude via the Hex River mountain pass, you have the chance to enjoy the scenery as we travel back in the direction of Cape Town.
Here you'll have a chance to enjoy some of the many wines that are on offer. Not to mention, you also have the opportunity to purchase wine as well.
Our last stretch back to Cape Town is a bonus leg as we drive over the Du Toitskloof mountains via the spectacular Du Toitskloof mountain pass.
We'll stop at a famous view site from where one can see the Paarl Valley below, and observe the last of the sun as it drops closer towards the distant western horizon.
For warm or hot weather please bring a hat and sunblock.
For cool or cold weather please bring a warm top.
Each guest will be handed a blanket for warmth and comfort while on the open safari vehicle.
The animals roam freely throughout the reserve, moving wherever they please in their natural habitat. On rare occasions, certain species may not be visible due to the terrain, areas beyond management access, or temporary road closures caused by flooding.
