At The Gates Of The Desert: 6-day Southern Morocco Adventure
Discover the soul of Morocco’s South on a 6-day journey from the vibrant energy of Marrakech to the peaceful dunes of Merzouga. Explore fortified kasbahs, dramatic gorges, and the lush palm groves of the Draa Valley. Optional camel ride at sunset and the chance to sleep in a desert camp beneath a sky full of stars. Day 1: Arrival at Mohamed V Airport, meet with our representative, then transfer to the hotel in Marrakech. Check-in, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Marrakech - Ouarzazate: After breakfast, spend the morning exploring Marrakech, the "Pearl of the South." Visit the Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and Herboristerie. Enjoy a guided tour of the souk and Jemaa El Fna square. After lunch, depart for Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3 Ouarzazate - Merzouga Desert: After breakfast, depart for Merzouga via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Kelaa M'gouna, famous for its Rose Festival. Continue to Todra Canyon, a stunning Grand Canyon-like rock formation. After lunch, head to Erfoud, enjoying the beautiful Ziz Valley oasis. Arrive at your Merzouga hotel for check-in. Optional camel ride to the dunes for a sunset view. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 Merzouga-Ouarzazate(Via Daraa Valley): Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Ouarzazate, this time via the largest Draa Oasis. Lunch along the way, continuing through the oasis and kasbahs, until arrival in Ouarzazate. Check-in at the hotel and room and Relax .
Day 5 Ouarzazate-Marrakech: The morning will be dedicated to visiting the Kasbah's :Kasbah Taourirt,a masterpiece of Berber architecture, originally built in the 17th century and once owned by the ElGlaoui clan.Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a traditional pre-Saharan habitat surrounded by high walls and reinforced with corner towers, is a prime example of southern Morocco’s architecture.Lunch at a restaurant, then departure for Marrakech via the High Atlas. Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay
Day 6 Marrakech - Marrakech Airport : Breakfast, check-out, and transfer to Marrakech airport, depending on your flight time.
