Akwaaba to Ghana! Your adventure starts today as you step foot in Accra. There will be a private shuttle service available to take you to your luxurious accommodation in no time. Once settled, you will get to know the tour team and have the rest of the day to unpack & relax. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant as we go over the tour briefing. Your Ghana escapade is about to start!
Our adventure starts from Accra, Ghana’s bustling capital. We will start the day by touring the city with new smells, tastes & colours. Our tour will take us to W.B Duboi Centre, the Black Star Square & Independence Arch, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Museum & the National Museum. We will end the day by eating at a local restaurant full of mouthwatering foods!
Bursting with history & pride, Cape Coast is one of Ghana’s most significant travel destinations. Discover the city as we revisit some of the country’s most painful past. Our journey begins at Assin Manso slave river.We will then come back to Kakum National Park to unwind and enjoy Ghana’s lush landscapes. We will then head back to the Elmina / Cape Cape slave castles for the history of the infamous slave trade.
In Ghana we say the best always comes from the West! The region has the highest rainfall in Ghana, lush green hills.In Nzulezu, we have a tour of the village, experience the rustic lives of the people, go boat riding and learn canoe fishing. Enjoy a calm, relaxing and serene environment away from city life. The Maaha Beach Resort is the perfect getaway for leisure located within the rich oil and gas hub of Ghana, which shares a border with Cote D’Ivoire.
At Nkroful, one can find the first memorial of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president. The memorial is at the site of the birthplace and original burial place of Dr. Nkrumah. We continue our tour to Fort Batenstein & Antonio which is reported to have amassed ‘more gold at Axim than anywhere else together’. Both forts contributed to the infamous slave trade in the Gold Coast.
Day 6 After the tour and some free time for an optional lunch we will depart to Accra for an overnight stay.
On the last day of your Ghana tour we can do some more city exploring. Oxford Street, the Art Centre & Makola markets are all bustling and lively places where you will find unique and authentic souvenirs and get to know the rhythm of the city. Smell the traditional Ghanaian ingredients, touch authentic Ghanaian fabrics and revel in the feeling of being a local while you do some last-minute shopping.
