8 Days Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Amboseli Safari
The tour takes you to Masai Mara which is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya and Serengeti National Park which is Tanzania’s largest and most famous national park. It borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park and not forgetting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World, a visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Lake Nakuru & Amboseli national parks are also part of this adventure.
You will be met upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Lake Nakuru National park. The park is home to warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end.
Depart after your morning breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park via Lake Naivasha. Game viewing is either done in the early morning hours or in the evening as this is when we have the best chances of seeing animals. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on the sun downers back at your lodge.
Enjoy your full day of game drive at Masai Mara Game Reserve. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Full board accommodation included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at lodge/camp.
Transfer after your morning breakfast for Serengeti National Park. This will take up to 8 hours of driving through rough road. Serengeti National Park is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. Its far-reaching plains of endless grass, tinged with the twisted shadows of acacia trees, have made it the quintessential image of a wild and untarnished Africa.
This morning’s African adventure begins with an exploratory game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most recognized National Park, the Serengeti. This location offers the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania. From predators to prey, great herds of grazing herbivores to tactically cunning packs of carnivores, life on the plains of the Serengeti can best be defined as a complete “circle of life.” Spend today searching out Impala, one of Africa’s most beautiful and graceful animals.
Depart after your morning breakfast with your picnic lunch boxes via the Olduvai gorge where it is believed the cradle of mankind began. Thereafter transferred to Ngorongoro Crater which is often called Africa’s Eden and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World, a visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun.
Depart after your morning breakfast for Amboseli via Namanga border. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game – elephants, lions and cheetahs are the main attractions – and for its great scenery beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed – Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga
Enjoy your early morning game drive at Amboseli National Park. Transfer after your game drive for Nairobi arriving by 1700 HRS.
