Day 1: Arrival: in Arusha/ From Zanzibar and Drive to Karatu
Arrive in Arusha, meet your guide, and drive to the green highlands of Karatu. Enjoy scenic views of local farms and villages along the way. Settle into your lodge or camp near the Ngorongoro Forest. An optional cultural visit or relaxing nature walk in the area. Overnight at Karatu Safari Camp.
Day 2: Karatu to Central Serengeti
Drive through the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Spot wildlife en route and enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush. Afternoon game drive in Seronera, known for big cats and abundant wildlife. Arrive at Safari Haven Lodge in time for dinner and sunset.
Day 3: Central to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, depart on a scenic full-day drive north following the wildebeest herds. Witness dramatic predator-prey interactions and, during July–October, possible Mara River crossings. Stop for a bush lunch and enjoy game viewing along the way. Overnight at a lodge in the Northern Serengeti.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Migration Tracking
Spend the day tracking the Great Migration across the northern plains. Explore areas around the Mara River where crocodiles and predators wait for the herds. Expect dramatic scenes and unforgettable photography moments. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner under the stars.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti, then begin your journey south to Ngorongoro. Visit Olduvai Gorge for insight into human evolution or stop at a Maasai boma. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon and relax at your lodge overlooking the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Zanzibar or Arusha
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari. Spot rhinos, lions, hippos, elephants, and more in this wildlife-rich paradise. After lunch, transfer to Arusha for your onward flight or connect to your flight to Zanzibar for a beach extension. End of safari.
Wear comfortable neutral clothes and closed-toe shoes. Pack sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, insect repellent, sunglasses, a warm layer for early drives, binoculars, and a good camera with extra batteries/power bank. Use a soft duffel bag for travel.
Safari suits all fitness levels with mostly vehicle drives. Follow guide safety rules. Wi-Fi may be limited.
