6-day Affordable Jinja, Sipi Falls And Kidepo Valley Safari
Embark on an unforgettable six-day journey of Jinja adventure, Sipi Falls hiking, and Kidepo Valley wildlife game viewing. Over 70 mammal species and up to 470 bird species can be found in the breathtaking, unspoiled environment, while a cultural safari lets you interact with the Karamonjo way of life.
Day 1: Your driver/guide will pick you up to kick off your long adventure, starting in eastern Uganda. You will drive through Kampala and head eastwards along the Kampala—Jinja highway. The first turn-off is to the Sezibwa Falls; spend an hour here hiking the rocks, watching birds, and learning about the myths. Thereafter, Mabira Rainforest, the largest forest in Central Uganda. drive to Jinja. Have lunch, and thereafter head out for an hour-long boat ride.
Day 2: After breakfast, check out and head further east through Mbale town to Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa District. The Sipi Falls are a series of three stunning waterfalls situated in the foothills of Mount Elgon. Check in at the booked lodge, refresh, and head out for a 3-4 hour trek up and down the foothills of Mount Elgon. Return to your lodge for lunch. Later, you could opt to walk through the local communities and coffee farmlands. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.
Day 3: After an early breakfast, embark on a long drive to the north of Uganda and get to Kidepo Valley National Park—arguably Africa's most spectacular wilderness. Lunch en route. Arrive at the park in the evening and transfer to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive viewing the park’s endowed diversity of wildlife, such as elephants, leopards, and lions, and continue birdwatching in the Narus Valley. After the game drive, return to the camp for lunch and later go for an evening cultural tour to interact with the Karamojong. Get an opportunity to see how the locals go about their day-to-day lives, from the activities that keep them occupied all day to their cultural practices. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay
Day 5: Have breakfast and head out for a nature walk experience coupled with a brief drive to the Kanangorok Hot Springs. You will pass by some magnificent landscapes and rocky outcrops. To spot ostriches, as they are often seen in this part of the park. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax a bit as you get ready for your afternoon game drive. The game drive takes 3 hours. When the drive is done, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Have breakfast by 6:00 am, check out of the lodge, and travel back to Kampala/Entebbe. You will most definitely have lunch en route that will be coupled with many stopovers at scenic places to stretch your legs and relax your muscles. Drop off at your desired destination.
