5 Days Selous Game Reserve & Mikumi National Park Tour
Africa’s largest and oldest game reserve is one of its most scenic wildlife destinations; the Selous is utterly beautiful. The beauty of the park is matched by the quality of a safari here; boating, walking and fly camping compliment standard game driving in thriving wildlife areas. This is an outrageously good safari park and an essential component of any southern circuit itinerary.
In the morning, you’ll be picked up from the hotel/airport and driven to Selous Game Reserve. Enjoy the 5 hour drive with lunch at a restaurant in Kibiti. Take a short break then proceed with the drive, arriving late in the afternoon. Check in at the camp, then leave for an evening boat drive at the Rufiji River. Return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast in the morning with your packed lunches, enjoy a full day game drive inside the game reserve. There are great animal sightings including all the great favourites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and other major species like hunting wild dogs and birds. You’ll take your lunch in the afternoon and after a short break, proceed with the game drive until evening. Return to the camp for overnight stay.

After breakfast with your lunch boxes, drive to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy 6 hours of driving, arriving late afternoon/evening with an en route game drive in mikumi national park. You will be able to see zebras, impalas, giraffes and elephants. Dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast with packed lunches, drive for a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. When you are in Mikumi, you will be able to see a wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, eland antelopes, giraffes, buffalo and elephants.

After breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunches and enjoy an en route game drive in Mikumi before departing to Dar es salaam. You will arrive late in the afternoon or evening for a drop off at the airport/ hotel or ferry.
