4 Days Around The Peaks
Explore Kenya’s hidden gems on a journey packed with untamed beauty, rare wildlife, and unforgettable moments. This safari offers a perfect blend of highland mystique and savannah adventure. From the lush forests of the Aberdare Mountains to the open plains of the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, every day brings new experiences, close encounters with wildlife, and breathtaking scenery.
Day 1: Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kenya’s lush highlands, passing coffee and tea plantations along the way. Arrive at your Aberdare lodge, uniquely built overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Spend the afternoon and evening watching elephants, buffalo, bushbuck, and possibly the rare bongo antelope come to drink. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge, with nighttime game viewing right from your balcony or lounge.
Day 2: After breakfast, head north with views of Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peaks. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch, then set out on your first game drive. Explore this renowned reserve, home to the Big Five, the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa, and an impressive variety of predators. It is also the only place in the world with the remaining species of the northern white rhinos. As the sun sets over the plains, return to camp for dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Start the day with a thrilling early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, and meet rescued chimps in their natural habitat. Continue on to see the enclosure that protects the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. Spend the afternoon tracking lions, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes across the savannah. Overnight at your Ol Pejeta camp or lodge.
Enjoy one last early morning game drive, soaking in the golden light and final wildlife sightings. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with wonderful memories, incredible photographs, and a deeper appreciation for Kenya’s wildlife and conservation efforts.
