Visit the world-famous Dune 45 at sunrise and watch the desert glow in shades of gold and crimson. Walk across the surreal white clay pan of Deadvlei, where ancient camel thorn trees stand frozen in time against a backdrop of towering dunes. Discover the fascinating geological formations of Sesriem Canyon, carved over millions of years by the Tsauchab River.

An authentic desert adventure you’ll never forget.
Pick-up between 08:00 and 08:30 from your accommodation in Windhoek. Travel southwest through scenic mountain passes, including Spreetshoogte Pass, with a stop in Solitaire for lunch.
Arrive at Dead Valley Lodge, near Namib-Naukluft Park, and settle in. In the late afternoon, enjoy a sundowner nature drive to Elim Dune for spectacular desert sunset views.

Day 2: Explore Sossusvlei, Deadvlei & Sesriem Canyon
An early pre-dawn departure takes you through the Sesriem Gate into the heart of Sossusvlei. Visit the iconic Dune 45, explore the surreal white pan of Deadvlei, and for the adventurous, hike Big Daddy, the area’s highest dune.
After lunch at the lodge, discover the dramatic rock formations of Sesriem Canyon on a short scenic walk.

Day 3: Sossusvlei to Windhoek
After breakfast, we depart back to Windhoek.
Arrive in Windhoek by late afternoon, with drop-off at your accommodation.

Clothing: Pack layered clothing—cool breathable fabrics for daytime, and warm layers for cold desert nights.
Temperature Ranges: Summer (Dec–Mar) up to 45°C; Winter (Jun–Sep) can drop to -5°C.

Currency: Namibian Dollar (NAD), 1:1 with South African Rand (ZAR).
