Tanzania Bush Safari Adventure
Tanzania Bush Safari Adventure of Northern National Parks are a true African experience, and one of Tanzania’s main attractions. Here you’ll witness the Great Serengeti Migrations, when millions of wildebeest, gazelles and zebra roam the plains in search of food. The entire Tanzanian ecosystem is on display here: birds, reptiles, mammals, and the mighty Savanna Acacia trees. While on Tanzania Bush Safari Adventure the parks stretch across a varied landscape, from wooded hills in the north to the southern grassy plains.
Day 1: Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Relax, take a stroll, enjoy the sights and sounds. Get plenty of rest – tomorrow will be huge! Dinner and over night at Maura Apartment
Day 2: The day starts with a hearty breakfast and briefing from your tour guide, afterwards we will drive from Arusha and head to Lake Manyara. The varied ecosystem consists of ground water forests, acacia woodland and open grassland along the lake shore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo. The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the Rift Valley.
Day 3: The Serengeti is a home to a staggering 1.6 million animals have been recorded moving through the park. We will do game drive until 1pm, when we break for lunch. After eating, there’s time for a little rest (perhaps a quick nap), then we’re back out on the plain looking for more big game. We follow the trail of the migrating wildebeest through the afternoon, then venture back to the lodge.
Day 4: Start your day with the sounds of birds across the African savanna and enjoy a traditional African breakfast. Then embark on a full-day Serengeti game drive to witness the 8th Wonder of the World – the Great Wildebeest Migration. See millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles moving across the plains. Break for lunch around midday, rest for an hour, then continue game viewing in the southwest of the park following the migration.
Day 5: After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site within a 260 km-wide volcanic crater. Optional stops include Oldupai Gorge, home to early human fossils, and a Maasai Boma to experience traditional culture. After lunch, explore the crater rim before dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
Day 6: Start the day early with breakfast, then continue your Ngorongoro game drive. Optional visit to a Maasai village to experience traditional dancing and daily life. Descend to the crater floor for more big game viewing, enjoying a packed lunch at a picnic site near Lerai Forest or Hippo Pool. Look out for the rare Black Rhinoceros before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge.
Day 7: We save the best for last. After breakfast, we embark on our final game drive through Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for African elephants – the world’s biggest mammals – are very common in this area. The park is also dotted with the iconic Baobab, shrub-like trees that can grow up to 30m tall. After full day of exploring Tarangire we will start our drive back to Arusha.
Day 8: It’s the final day in Tanzania, Take advantage of the relaxed schedule and sleep in before breakfast is served. Enjoy the breathtaking views and Mount Kilimanjaro sun rise one last time and also if time allows be sure to grab any last minute souvenirs you may want and say one last goodbye to the new friends you made in Tanzania before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
