Shimba Hills Adventure
Shimba Hills National Reserve, located south of Mombasa, is renowned for its diverse landscapes, including rainforests and grasslands. Famous for its endangered sable antelopes, the reserve also hosts elephants, giraffes, and over 100 bird species. A key attraction is Sheldrick Falls, a stunning waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation. With its cool climate and rich wildlife, Shimba Hills offers a peaceful escape for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
You'll be picked up at the hotel at 6:00 am and drive along the Mombasa Diani highway towards Kwale town to Shimba Hills National Reserve.
Shimba Hills is mostly covered by forest, so it is more of a scenic safari than a wildlife safari. Spotting the hidden wildlife is a plus.
You'll join a ranger for a bush walk to the Shedrick Waterfalls. You can also take a dip under the falls, so an extra change of clothes will be required.
You'll be dropped off at the hotel or airport.
