3 Day Ndutu Migration Safari Calving Season
Our 3-Day Ndutu Migration Safari in the calving season is carefully planned to give you the best chance to see the amazing Serengeti wildebeest migration. This special event happens in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas of Tanzania during December, January, February, and March. It's when you can watch thousands of wildebeest all over the grassy plains, eating the short, green grass. This is also the time when predators like cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and leopards are very active, so you might see them hunting and making exciting kills.
After breakfast Depart to Ndutu region for full day game drive of wildlife viewing in Ndutu, where you can see the migration. In the evening, we'll drive to the camp for dinner and spend the night. The Lake Ndutu area is located in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The lake is alkaline like other Rift lakes, but the water is still safe to drink. You'll likely find many wildebeests in the short-grass plains from December to April.
You'll wake up early for a morning game drive in the Ndutu Area, then return to the camp for lunch. In the evening, there will be another game drive. Your guide will provide detailed information about this incredible natural event that Tanzania is proud of. As the sun sets, you'll experience the Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and most famous national park, known for its annual migration.
