Day 1: Kigali – Cross to Uganda – Transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga
7:30 AM – Pickup in Kigali
You’ll be picked up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport by a professional English-speaking driver/guide.
Quick briefing on the trip, border crossing, and itinerary.
Begin drive southwest towards the Uganda-Rwanda border via Katuna (Kabale) or Cyanika (Kisoro)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Uganda – Return to Kigali
Check out of the lodge and transfer to Park Headquarters (Rushaga, Nkuringo, or Ntebeko). Register and meet your ranger team for Gorilla Trekking Briefing.
Duration can be 1 to 6 hours each way depending on where gorillas are that day. Once found, you'll have 1 full hour to observe and photograph the gorilla family at close range.
Return from Trek to park headquarters for a short debrief. Drive back to Kigali through scenic countryside.
